Jamie Oliver's recipe - creamy pasta dish
Ingredients
| 25 | Gram | butter |
| 10 | Slice | streaky bacon (chopped) |
| 300 | Gram | frozen peas |
| 1 | Bunch | fresh mint (finely chopped leaves) |
| 150 | Gram | parmesan (grated) |
| 400 | Gram | pasta (shells or other shape) |
| 1 | Carton | creme fraiche (small tub) |
| 1 | lemon (juiced) |
Instructions
Prepare the pasta, start it cooking in salted water.
In the meantime, melt the butter in a large, high-sided frying pan and add a glug of olive oil. Fry the bacon, sprinkled liberally with black pepper, until the bacon is golden and crisp.
Add the frozen peas and give the pan a good shake. After a minute or so add the creme fraiche and chopped mint leaves.
Drain the pasta when it is ready, retaining some of the cooking water. Stir the pasta into the pan.
Add the parmesan and any of the retained pasta water if needed, and then add the lemon juice to taste.
