Kenilworth Wardens Colts 1 - 0 Hillmorton Juniors
Woop Woop - A third league win of the season for the Colts came today after a battling display worthy of the result.
A first half goal from New Harry came after 20 minutes or so; born from a flowing attack all the way from defence. It was a reasonably even match overall with the Colts making the most attacking moves. Our defensive unit played extremely well today forming an impregnable barrier to the Hillmorton attacks. Kyle in goal had quite possibly his least-busy match ever! Having said that, he was called into action to make a few excellent and brave stops on the very odd occasion that the Hillmorton attack got through the defence.
Hillmorton piled on the pressure on the second half but were unable to make any substantial threat and the Colts survived with chances on the counter-attack leading to exciting moments.
This was a great whole-team performance in complete contrast to last week's drubbing experience. The perfect cure!
